Alexander's Arrowhead

These small uniquely shaped fish are amongst the most common aquatic species on Ashus,Being found in every region from the Arctic waters all the way to the lakes within the immense cave systems. Thanks to their numbers they serve as a plentiful food source for many animals as the Arrowhead is incredibly nutritious and healthy thanks to their diet,Which mainly includes the spongy and nutritious bulbs of the Buoy Kelp,But they'll also eat small fish and crustaceans. They get their name from one of the first biologists that ever set foot on Ashus,Alexander Chambers was the one who documented and researched the stunning Fauna and Flora,That is until his untimely demise at the jaws of a Blood-Mane Sabercat during a expedition. There are many sub-species of the Arrowhead which all vary from environment to environment one of the most rare being "Clay Arrowheads" which are found in the murky rivers and lakes in the Great Arkivach Desert,Normally appearing lumpy and quite lengthy and they lack any bright colors instead having a dark, dull orange color with bright white eyes and so far only around 16 have been sighted and only 1 has ever been caught so far.The predator that targets them the most are the Blind-Spear Jaws as these limber and powerful predators can easily outmaneuver the Arrowhead with ease and since they lack any armour they are easily impaled by the Blind-Spear Jaw.During early Spring large gatherings of these fish can be seen traveling to their place of birth much like Salmon on Earth,And once they reach the breeding grounds they'll wait until night and they'll begin their courtship dance as small bioluminescent will start to glow with great strength and the males who have the brightest markings and the most elegant dance will be allowed to mate. For protection small schools have been seen swimming alongside Crimson-Fin Leviathans to avoid larger predators from attacking them and since plant-life grows on the larger ones it means they have a food source.

Really beautiful 100x100. I find small canvasses difficult, but you managed to get a lot of detail into this - impressive! I think you are long overdue for another SP so @pixilart should check it out :D
